[/ux_text_box]Reciprocal IVF — also called shared maternity, co-IVF, or reception of oocytes from partner (ROPA) — allows both partners in a same-sex female couple to be biologically involved in the pregnancy. One partner undergoes ovarian stimulation and egg retrieval; the eggs are fertilized and the resulting embryo is transferred to the other partner’s uterus.
Argentina has a fully inclusive legal framework for LGBTQ+ families. There are no restrictions on treatment for same-sex couples, and the legal parenthood of both partners is recognized from birth.
